Why Your Next Chapter Deserves Beautiful Things

Why Your Next Chapter Deserves Beautiful Things

My mom, lovingly known as Prissy Pat, adored the details—the delicate, the dainty, the pretty little things that made life feel special.

I learned beauty is how we show love to ourselves and others.

Now, I carry her spirit in every flower print and silk scarf I design at Fur Feathers and Flowers.

Sometimes life hands us a blank page.

For me, that blank page came through a tide of grief that swept through, rearranging everything.

For you, maybe it’s an empty nest. A divorce. A move. Or just a quiet moment where you ask yourself: Is this really what I want now?

However your next chapter begins, I want you to know this:

You deserve to fill it with beauty.

The kind that reconnects you with who you are. A way back to yourself.

Tiny rituals...

  • A floral scarf tied around your handbag

  • A cup of tea in your prettiest china

  • A handwritten note on a card that makes you smile

  • A journal that holds your honest thoughts

They’re daily reminders that you matter.

As you navigate your next chapter—whether after grief, change, or simply growing into yourself—

Remember this: small, beautiful moments can anchor you.

They don’t have to be grand.
They just have to feel like you.

Thank you for sharing such a peaceful moment with me. There’s something about finding contentment in the simple rhythms of daily life – the view from your porch sounds absolutely perfect for those reflective, quiet times. I love that you’re discovering new pleasures like savoring tea in china cups. There’s something almost ceremonial about that small act that can transform an ordinary moment into something special.

Your comment really captures what I was hoping to convey. Sometimes the most profound moments happen when we’re simply present where we are, watching the boats drift by and letting our minds wander between memory and possibility.

Wishing you many more peaceful mornings on your porch with your tea. – Sharon

Funny you wrote the above at this point in time. I am learning to enjoy my place in time. Sitting on my screened in porch, watching the water, boats and animals in our cove. The quite times remembering when but planning something interesting for the future. Just discovered drinking tea in my china cups and a new author to read.
Thank you,
Moon
