Custom Pet Portrait: How It Works

Your Custom Pet Portrait: Photo Tips + Process
Your pet is one-of-a-kind. Your portrait should be too. To capture your furry (or feathered) friend just right, it all starts with a great photo.
Let’s talk photo tips:
✔ Natural light is your best friend.
✔ Indoors? No problem. Face your pet toward a bright window.
✔ Get low. Crouch down to your pet’s level to capture that sweet face from eye level
✔ Chest-up only. No full-body photos needed.
✔ Keep it clear. Your pet’s face and chest should be sharp and in focus
✔ Skip Portrait Mode. I need the whole face and chest in focus
Do you have a favorite photo that doesn’t check every box?
Send it my way. I’ll take a look and let you know if it’ll work for your portrait.
Here’s how the process works:
- You’ll upload your pet’s photo when you place your order
- I’ll create a sketch based on your image and send it to you for approval
-
📌 To hold your spot in the queue, please approve the sketch within 48 hours
- One round of sketch revisions is included. Want to adjust a whisker? Say the word!
- Once approved, I’ll paint your custom watercolor portrait by hand with lots of love, package it up, and send you the tracking information so you can follow its every zoomie.
A few reminders:
✔ Chest-up view only
✔ Your watercolor will have a clean white background, this keeps the focus on your pet
✔ All custom portraits are final sale
